Hi I'm Brett

I'm a Father, Accountant and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a thirty something father of three children and husband of a beautiful wife. I am an accountant who tries to balance a busy career with family time. We love our children and worry about how to teach them and help them to succeed in life and be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and know following His teachings and example make me happy. This church teaches me about Him and holds His authority to baptize and perform other ordinances I need in order to return to Him and my Father in Heaven along with my family.

How I live my faith

I try to follow Jesus Christ's example in how I act every day. I try to help others who are in need and treat others with kindness. I am far from perfect but know that Jesus Christ can help make up for my weaknesses and that He died that I might be forgiven for things I do wrong.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

A husband and wife work together as equal partners in what should be their most important endeavor - their family. The family can be the source of our greatest joys. In today's troubled society if children are fortunate enough to live in a home with a mother and a father they deserve to be shown love and be taught by both of them. It takes great effort to create and maintain a loving environment where both parents and children feel happy and safe but it is made easier if we try in all things to follow the example of Jesus Christ. Women by nature are more nurturing and where circumstances allow it is advantageous for them to be at home with their children to help them grow and develop. This leaves the husband responsible for providing income for the family. Some in today's society may feel that is demeaning toward women. On the contrary, there is nothing more important or noble than preparing the next generation for the responsibilities of the world tomorrow. Show more Show less
