Hi I'm Taylor

I'm from Dallas. I play soccer. I'm a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full-time student that works on campus. I was privileged to spend two years serving as a missionary in England. I'm an older brother, a soccer player, and a mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found greater happiness in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ than anywhere else. When I was fourteen years old I was confronted with circumstances which caused me to question my faith in God. After some time I determined to pray earnestly to determine whether or not what I had been taught all my life was true. An overwhelming sense of peace that I had never felt before came over me as I prayed, and again as I testified later that week of what I had learned for myself to be true. Since that time, although there are things that I have questioned, I have never doubted that God lives, that Jesus is the Christ, and that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet. Knowing that these three things are true, I further know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly directed by the Savior through a living prophet. I have continued to find great comfort and this knowledge and happiness in believing its doctrines and living its principles.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by focusing on the basics. Personal scripture study, prayer, and simple acts of service are important parts of my life. Without those things, I would have no foundation on which to build and maintain a relationship with my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. Everywhere in the world people face a constant barrage of questions designed to create doubt in the things they believe in. Often times, I find myself without an adequate answer to them. But, because of the peace and happiness that come from a belief in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, from studying His words and trying to follow his example, I have come to know that He lives and loves me. This knowledge gives me courage to continue living my faith each day.

Where did Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints begin?

The Mormon Church was organized in New York in the year 1830 by Joseph Smith under the direction of the Lord Jesus Christ.   Show more Show less
