Hi I'm Emily

I am a stay at home mom with the most adorable baby in the world. I love to cut, and style hair, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from sunny Arizona, and I greatly enjoy horseback riding, dancing, shooting, and riding quads. While I was still attending high school, I took classes to become a licensed cosmetologist. Not long after I graduated I was married for eternity to my best friend, AJ, in the Mesa Temple. Since then we have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy. He has been an exciting challenge, but who can't say that about parenthood. Now I am a stay at home mom, teaching my son all about the teachings of the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up as a member in the church since I was born. My parents have taught me Christ's teachings from my youth, and I have never strayed from those teachings because I know that they are true. As I have lived the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the worth, and truthfulness of it has been confirmed through the effect it has on all aspects of my life. I find my joy grow through the living of these principles. I am a daughter of God, and he knows ME, individually and personally. I can be with my family forever, even after death. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God because I have studied it, and found it to be correct through the Spirit. I love my Savior, and I know that this is His church, restored in this day.

How I live my faith

I serve the sisters and brothers by organizing meals for couples who need help, specifically those who just had babies. I also strive to implement my faith into my everyday life by being more like my Savior.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Chastity means sexual purity. For those who are not yet married, it is abstinence from any sexual relations, and for those who are married, it means complete fidelity to your husband or wife. The Law of Chastity is a wonderful thing, meant to protect us from heartache and sorrow. I am thankful for the Law of Chastity. Show more Show less

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

Latter-day prophets have spoken out against abortions referring to the commandment, "Thou shalt not kill." Exodus 20 13. However, Church leaders have also stated, "that some exceptional circumstances may justify an abortion, such as when pregnancy is the result of incest or rape, when the life or health of the mother is judged by competent medical authority to be in serious jeopardy, or when the fetus is known by competent medical authority to have severe defects that will not allow the baby to survive beyond birth." True to the Faith, pg. 4-5. They encourage women, even those experiencing the above stated circumstances, to consult their local Church leaders, and to seriously pray before making a decision.  Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes, they can! Isn't that wonderful?! Forever families are one of the many blessings we can receive in temples. When a man and a woman are "sealed", it means that they are married for both this life, and life after death. What's more, this sealing binds your posterity to you as well. Therefore, you, and your family, both ancestors, and posterity, can be together forever, depending on your, and their faithfulness.  Show more Show less
