Hi I'm Jason

I grew up in New Mexico. I served my country by deploying to Afghanistan. I'm a husband. I'm a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

`I grew up in New Mexico and lived there until I graduated high school. Shortly after, I served a two year Mormon mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I enjoyed learning Spanish and new cultures and serving less fortunate families. I loved the opportunity I had to share and teach about our Savior Jesus Christ and how we can develop a closer relationship with him. I also grew an appreciation and a stronger sense of patriotism for my country while I lived abroad in Argentina. I joined the Army shortly after I returned home and learned that my experience on my mission made that transition easier for me. I learned that the Army also promotes many of the same moral principles and values I was already taught when I grew up as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was married to my wife for time and all eternity in one of our holy temples just before I was deployed to Afghanistan. I was comforted to know that my Heavenly Father had promised me that I would be bonded to my wife in this life and the next because he has given that power to those whom he has chosen to perform that wedding ceremony to seal us together. God has a specific plan for all his children and the happiness I experience in my life is a direct result of following that plan. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the center of my life and is the reason for all of my Happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that God is not some distant, mysterious being. I've always felt he is a compassionate Father and wants us to be happy. The Church teaches that God guides His children through prophets so we may know how to live according to his will in a world that increases with evil in every corner. I believe God has restored His church on this earth once again, that same organization he established over 2,000 years ago. I have prayed to know that our modern day apostles are men called of God and I have received a confirmation in my heart that they are true prophets with authority to teach Gods children, everyone, what He would have us do. Finally, I cherish the knowledge I've gained from the gospel. I know who I am, I know the meaning of my life and Gods purpose for me , and I know what God has in store for me in the hereafter. This gospel gives me perspective. It gives me comfort.

How I live my faith

I live my faith from sunrise to sunset. Some days are more challenging than others. I have my triumphs and I have my mistakes, but as long as recognize that I can do better and with the help of my Savior Jesus Christ, I know I can become a better person, a better child of God.
