Hi I'm Millie

I have Cystic Fibrosis, love science and music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old and I am currently attending a college to get my Associates in Science so I can become a Forensic Anthropologist. I love reading, playing musical instruments, singing in choirs at church and school, I love the ocean and hanging out with my family as often as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and when I was little I loved going to church to learn about Jesus Christ and his love for me and my family. As a child with Cystic Fibrosis it was hard to understand why God would let me be sick all the time, but over time I have come to know that he loves me and that this disease is a trial God uses to mold me and show his love for me and others. As an adult, the church has helped me to continue to make the right decisions wherever I am, my family recently moved across the country and when we got here I didn't know anyone, the first sunday I attended church I felt welcome and I knew that I was not alone. I had the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints wherever I went.

How I live my faith

In my branch I am the Music Director and I love teaching the choir new songs and making sure the music in our meetings invite the spirit so that we can learn more of Heavenly Fathers Plan and his love for us. I study my scriptures daily and I pray for guidance and confidence in my daily life, because I have CF part of my life is always uncertain but through my dedication to the gospel I have been able to touch many lives and helped many people gain hope during trials in their life.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

When I have been in the hospital as a teenager, I always felt that there was always someone there with me, and has comforted me when I needed it. Sometimes it was through a nurse or even my parents. Gods love is evident every day when I am healthy and can serve those around me. Show more Show less
