Hi I'm Fredrick Walker

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a widowed man 73 years Old, and live alone, I have been in the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-day Saints since 1997 I first joined the Church in Robertsdale, AL, after my second marriage My new Bride had been a member of the Church since 1991 and after we were married I told her that I too, would join the Church and turn my life around because she was my soul mate and I promised her that I would love honor and cherish her forever and a day. Sadly she passed away on the 14th of December 2009. I know if the Members of the Church had not taken me under their wings and prayed for me who knows where I would be now. I know that the Church is true and I know that the book of Mormon is true and as I have advanced in the Church I have spent a lot of time researching My Family History with the staff at our Family History Center here at the Columbania Ward, I have also been blessed to make Many trips to the Temple and to do the work for many of my ancestors. This continues to be my goal so that I will join them again in Kingdoms yet to come. As I have advanced in the Church i am now a High Priest and a Secretary to the High Priest Goup Leader and a Home Teacher companion.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know without any doubt that Joseph Smith was a True Seer and Revalator, and Prophet and I know that he translated the Book of Mormon by Devine Revalation, Joseph was called by God and His Son Jesus Christ to Restore the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-Day Saints on Earth and the Fullnes of the Gospel. Today we have Prophets and seers and Revalators to Guide us In our efforts to obtain Immortality in the Kingdoms yet to come.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending Church every Sunday and Partaking of the Sacrament in Remberrence of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. Also, by Praying in Church and by being asked to give talks in the Church and by Shring my Testominy and daily reading as of the Book of Mormon and by studying the Holy Bible and doing service work for the Widows in the church and Praying many times each day to thank the Savior for his Atoning Sacriface for All Who want to come unto Him.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Fredrick Walker
Of the twelve Apostles who were with with Jesus Christ during His Ministery on earth, Judas (who went out and hanged Himself) and Peter Ordained Matthias to contiune Jesus Church on Earth and as they were falsely imprisoned, hunted and killed, The Lord took the Gospel out of the Midst of the Jews and other people on the earth. However, If you Look in the Book of Mormon, Nephi 3 and 4 you will find that as a lost tribe of Isarel you will find in 3 Nephi that Jesus (after his accension to heaven). Decended Unto the Nephites and Ministered unto them and He also, apointed 12 more Apostlets to Minister unto them. And there were Four Hundred years of continued Peace on the Earth Until the Last Apostles were taken out of the World because of the unblief and sins of the Nephites who were then Slain because because of this iniquity. Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Fredrick Walker
The Prophets are chosen by God and are Called by God to serve his children. I might add that all Church Leaders those who have been Chosen and Called to serve do so with no pay. As such I have never seen a Church of any demonation that can attest to this.  Show more Show less
