Hi I'm Mike

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work for a great software company as the Support Manager. I really enjoy coaching staff on what they can do to become more successful. I also run a martial arts business where I get to teach students of all ages. I am the founder of the Canadian Ninjutsu Academy and the Grandmaster of Kabutan-Ru Ninjutsu. I am married to my best friend and we have two wonderful kids. In fact while trying to select a profile picture I could not find a photo where my kids were not crawling all over me and I would not want it any other way. If you look close enough you can see my daughters hair and hand. I love my family!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have committed myself to better understanding the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. As a Mormon I have many opportunities to become more like Christ and feel of the great love that our Heavenly Father has for us as his children. I became a Mormon at the age of 17. I had been praying for the Lord to bless me with a greater opportunity to know him better. In answer to my prayers the Lord placed great people in my path that helped me understand that becoming more like Jesus Christ is not memorizing the scriptures but rather applying them into our lives by serving and loving others. I have always been amazed at the great service that is accomplished through the great faith of the Mormons I know. I have felt the Lord's love for me as he has answered my prayers during my seeking for truth. I know that the Lord is mindful of all of us and he has established his church on the earth today as he did during his time on the earth.

How I live my faith

Church gives me wonderful opportunities to serve others. Through my service in church I have developed my faith and love for others. I have worked with youth and adults through teaching classes, speaking at firesides and planning church activities that allow not only other Mormons but friends and neighbours to enjoy great activities. I have 4 families that I home teach each month and have enjoyed teaching lessons and performing service for them whenever needed. It is very busy being a Mormon, but it's the right kind of busy!

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Mike
Husbands and Wives work together in love and faith to ensure that they take care of each other and their children. Husbands and Wives are to teach their children the principle of faith in Jesus Christ and how to love and respect others. These lessons taught to children should be accomplished through the Husbands and Wives perpetual commitment to love and honor one another as equal partners and express their love and devotion through frequent expressions of kindness and service.
