Hi I'm Angela

I grew up in Arizona where it's hot. I'm a family therapist but my most important job is being a mom! and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Last year I married the love of my life. After a difficult divorce and shattered dreams, my husband has shown me how to love and forgive and be happy! I am a mom of two beautiful daughters, one handsome step-son and a lovely step-daughter and son in law! My family is now complete! I am proof there is life after divorce.....a great life! I am constantly learning how to adjust to teenagers and make sure I am doing it all. However, sometimes I feed my kids fast food, procrastinate laundry until we are out of underwear, forget to take my camera to the school musical, and even get frustrated, but I always, always, always kiss them goodnight! It seems like most days I am taking my kids to karate, horse riding, hockey practice and being a taxi service to friend's houses. When I get a free moment to myself I love reading, taking naps and going to the movies. My husband and I make it a priority to still go on dates together. And as a family we like to go get ice cream and play board games. I work part-time as a family counselor and loving working with children. They teach me so much as I am teaching them. I love seeing people change their lives and be happy. I am not perfect, but I wake up every day knowing I am worth it and I can do hard things!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Child of God. I believe in a Heavenly Father who loves ME! I am a Mormon because following Christ's example makes me happy! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches faith, hope, charity and love... and I need these things in my life! I have faith that my Father in Heaven loves me and my family. I know He answers my prayers. When I ask him specific questions, He speaks peace to my heart. I have hope that when I follow the Commandments that I will be blessed and life will get better. I believe in charity and loving my neighbors. I know that when I think about others and serve them, my harships don't seem as hard. I believe that by following the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I can be with my family forever! And that is the greatest goal and blessing I could have! I am a Mormon and this is what I love about my church!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what I say I believe. I try to create a peaceful, Christ centered home where my children can feel the Spirit and learn to love the Lord. We read scriptures, pray together and attend our church meetings. I attend the Holy Temple each week so I can be reminded of Heavenly Father's plan and love for me. I love feeling His peace. My children enjoy attending activities and lessons with other kids their age. This helps them build their own testimony and strengthen friendships in a positive environment. I enjoy teaching the youth (12 - 13 yrs. olds) in classes on Sundays. They are sometimes challenging, chatting with their friends, but willing to learn and share their thoughts and experiences. I try to be a good example and a caring person to those I work with every day at work. I want them to know what I believe because of how I act and what I say. I try to surround myself with positive music, good books, beautiful pictures and things that remind me of Christ. My faith is a part of my daily life.
