Hi I'm Adam

I grew up in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. I served my country in The United States Navy, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 52 years young. I am a husband & a father. My wife and I have been married for 22 years. It is unbelievable to have a best friend with you everyday! We have raised a 17 year old son who is the joy of our life. It is humbling to try to live up to educating, loving and preparing our son to succeed in the world he is living in. I enjoy spending time in the outdoors. I like to play basketball, softball, tennis and volleyball. My educational background is in Aviation Electronics & Instrumentation. I work in the Digital Advertising space today. I believe you receive back what you give out to other people, eventually.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My parents divorced when I was about 7. I have 5 siblings, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. My Mother was a great example of hard work, righteousness and discipline growing up. I was not living my faith and didn't believe I had a strong testimony of it's truthfulness as I grew up. I always felt, even though I thought I didn't have a testimony, a strong desire to learn of the temple and be sealed to my future wife for time and eternity in the House of the Lord. I learned of different faiths through my searching from high school age until I was 28, still single and never finding my soul mate. I felt and learned many good things through those experiences. I realized by that age that I needed something more and wanting a clearer direction and purpose in my life. I was ready to submit to my Father in Heaven. I embraced the atonement of Jesus Christ and received forgiveness for the sins of the past and started anew. What an amazing feeling and renewing! I read, studied and pondered the word of God through the scriptures, words and counsel of our modern day prophets and prayed sincerely to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I received a testimony that the Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr is a prophet of God and the man who God used to restore the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth once more, in our day. That The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His true church on the earth today, as the Savior himself established it as he lived on the earth. I have found great peace, trials, joy, heartache and hope living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It excites me to know where I came from, why I am on the earth, and where I am going. May you find the same peace and everlasting joy!

How I live my faith

I serve in our congregation mostly with the youth of our church right now. I work girls and boys up to age 12 mostly. We serve as Priesthood holders, receiving the power of our Heavenly Father, through the laying on of hands by those that have the authority to do so, just as Jesus himself gave his disciples that authority as he chose His 12 apostles when he lived on the earth. We use this power to bless the lives of our family, friends and all we come into contact with. I witness the power of God in my daily life, as I take the time to ponder things in my life. I believe in miracles on the earth today. I believe in modern day revelation. I receive answers to my prayers and I know, without a doubt, that God has a prophet on the earth today, even Thomas S. Monson, who receives direction, revelation, strength and guidance on what we need to do, to build the Kingdom of God on the earth. I continually strive to repent and ask for forgiveness for those I have trespassed, to be honest and faithful in all my dealings. I believe we are all brothers and sisters, regardless of any and all differences, lifestyles and ethnic backgrounds.
