Hi I'm Tyler

I study physics, I like to snowboard, I look kinda like Mark Wahlberg and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in northern California. My hobbies include wakeboarding, snowboarding, remote-controlled airplanes, and solving the Rubik's Cube. I'm serving a mission in Idaho, and loving it! I have less than a year left (ladies) and I have seen marvelous things. When I get back I hope to continue to study physics, and start a career. I've just always had an interest in studying God's creations.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church is His church. I know that this is His church because I have read the Book of Mormon, I have prayed to know that it is true, and received a witness by the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of the Lord, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's kingdom. It's as simple as that, really. And it's all that anyone needs to do to know the same thing. Just try what the missionaries say. Read the Book of Mormon, pray about it, and listen for the answer.

How I live my faith

Being LDS is all about improving yourself. We all have faults and weaknesses, but my favorite thing about our faith is that we know this: that what we are now is not who we have to be. There is always room for improvement, and through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can repent, receive forgiveness, and be cleansed by His Spirit. I live my faith by discovering my weaknesses and asking our Heavenly Father for help to make them strong.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

I know that there is a God because I have learned to see the miracles that He works every day. The mere fact that we are alive, we can breathe, see, smell, eat, or run is a testimony to me that there is a God. The world we live in and its inhabitants, when examined down to the smallest scale show us that life is something astoundingly complex and beautiful. I don't know exactly how we have arrived here to this point. But whether we were formed by evolution or some other process, the fact that we got here convinces me that an intelligent being has put that process in motion. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The missionaries will answer any questions you have, and they will do everything they can to help you understand where this Church came from, what it's like, and how you can know for yourself if it really is the true church of Jesus Christ. They will guide you and help you to live a happier and more purposeful life. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes. This is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints." Of course we're Christian! We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and He is the savior of mankind. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

The best way to increase our faith in Jesus Christ is to PRACTICE our faith in Him. As we practice our faith by keeping His commandments and praying for His strength, the blessings that follow will be a testimony to us that He does exist, and that He does provide answers in this confusing world.
