Hi I'm Tammy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated with a degree in elementary education and taught 5th grade for two years. I now stay home and have fun with my three children. I play the piano and like to sing. I enjoy listening to audio books while I am doing work around the house or running errands in the car. I like playing games and doing word puzzles with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both members of the church and I was taught the gospel of Jesus Christ growing up. I love the teaching that God is our Heavenly Father and that He knows us each by name. It makes a such a difference in my life to know that I can have a personal conversation with God through prayer and that He will answer me. I'm also thankful for the eternal perspective that our life here on Earth is a short period of testing before we can return to live with Him again. I am better able to view my trials and challenges in a positive light, as learning experiences that will help me develop Christ-like attributes. I am a Mormon because my life is filled with joy, happiness, and purpose as I keep the commandments, follow the living prophet's teachings, and live the standards of the church.

How I live my faith

The #1 way I live my faith is in my home. I try to teach my children to follow the example of the Jesus Christ and to create a home that is full of love and peace. I also currently have the opportunity to teach children at church. It is wonderful to learn from their examples and faith and to teach them to stand firm against temptations and wrong choices. Each month I visit 3 other women in the congregation to see how they are doing and if there are things I can do to help them or their families. We have developed strong friendships and I love the time we have to visit together and learn from each other. I try my best to be a kind and helpful neighbor and a positive influence as I volunteer at my daughter's elementary school.
