Hi I'm Alex

I'm a son, a brother, and a Christian. I scamper up rocks and strum on guitars. I love New England. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I love the outdoors and music. I play the guitar and I'm currently learning to play the piano. I rock climb and play almost any sport that involve some kind of ball and running after it. I'm one of three kids and really close to my family. I'm the middle child with a sister 6 years older and a brother 6 years younger. I love my family and I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

Because everything fits. The scriptures always give me guidance, following the standards of the church makes me happy. I've felt the peace from the Holy Ghost, and have seen miracles in my life. The older I get the more I realize that everything in life points to the fact that there is a God and he is aware of us and cares for us. The more I learn about the church and Jesus Christ the better a person I become. I believe the Book of Mormon, I believe the story of Joseph Smith, I believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior. That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I do my best to follow the council of the scriptures and modern day prophets. I try to be the best family member or friend I can be so that I understand better the love that Christ has for us. This was especially helpful for me when I was on a 2 year mission for the church in New England. I also try to understand how other people feel as well as how Heavenly Father feels. This helps have a bigger perspective than I would otherwise.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

By talking to him mostly. Prayer is very powerful and real to me. When I started to really pray it was a time of meditation and thought. I asked few questions but felt peaceful about the way my life was headed. I mostly talked about things I was thankful for I things that I wanted help with. I always received the help but not in the way I always expected. Over time my prayer has developed into a better conversation. I listen a lot more and ask more meaningful questions. Prayer combined with following the commandments has helped me come to understand my relationship to Him as my Father in Heaven. I understand more now the love and care he has for me as well as the guidance he gives to make my life the best it can be. Show more Show less

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

The teachings of Jesus Christ are best applied in the family. Love, Charity, diligence, patience, understanding, and unselfishness are just a few of the things Christ emphasized. All these things would, can, and do make the world a better place when people apply them in their daily lives. Show more Show less
