Hi I'm Kenneth Israel

I love footie pajamas, I love to smile, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kenneth Israel and I was born in Ecuador. I lived there until I was 8 and then moved to the U.S. I've been living there ever since. I currently live in Woods Cross, Utah but am serving in the Idaho Boise mission! I love sports! I wish i was better at them. I love video games too, I've spent way too much time in front of a tv haha I'm very easily entertained but that makes life very interesting!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church so I was baptized when I was 8 years old. I didn't understand at the time how big that was and how that would impact me for the rest of my life. It has been such a huge blessing to know that I have a loving Heavenly Father and that my happiness matters to him. A lot of people look for the truth so I truly feel blessed to know it. If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask God and he will answer. Don't take it from me or from anyone else, go directly to God. I promise he will answer you. He answered me.

How I live my faith

Living the mormon standard really isn't hard. People think that we have so many rules and that they restrict us from having fun...well I completely disagree. These rules that God himself has given us are for our benefit. They protect us and if we live by them, we can be happy and free. I believe these rules give us more freedom rather than restrict it. You can still be a normal person and be a mormon even though many people don't seem to think so.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Kenneth Israel
Well yes but how many religions use the bible? The bible is great but it isn't very clear on some key aspects of religion. That's why there's so many religions today. They all have their very own perspective of doctrine and there was a lot of confusion. The Restoration was absolutely necessary for us to be led out of that confusion and to know which way was the correct way to worship our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Kenneth Israel
Nope, we do not worship him as many people seem to think so. We only acknowledge him as the instrument that God used to bring about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was persecuted and hated and he suffered a lot and we are really grateful for the work that he did. Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Kenneth Israel
Well, what if someone all of a sudden decided to call himself a Prophet of God one day and started teaching what he understood what the bible to be. Would he be a true Prophet of God? The authority to baptize and to do anything in the Church is essential because we know that if they have that authority, we can trust what they say to be from God. If they don't have that authority, how can we trust what they say? Show more Show less
