Hi I'm Ann

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of two beautiful girls. I met my husband while attending college. Now I spend my time managing home and family. I feel strongly about volunteering in the community and at church. I love pretty things, but do not have a knack for crafting. I'm better with a spread sheet. When I get a chance to play I like to read, watch a fun show, or get together with friends and family .

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and had the spirit witness to me that it is true. I am a Mormon because I have prayed and received answers. I am a Mormon because I have tried out and tested the commandments and found that when I live them good things happen. I am a Mormon because when things are hard and I turn to God he brings me peace. I am a Mormon because I have felt the spirit witness to me that Jesus Christ is real, he lives, and this is his church.

How I live my faith

I think that I am a pretty typical mom. I love my kids. I teach them values, manners, and how to tie their shoes. I live my faith by trying my best to be an example to them. My faith teaches me to repent. So when I make mistakes as a mom, I teach my kids this by recognizing my mistake, telling them I'm sorry and asking them for forgiveness. I may be the one in charge, but they deserve my humble love. My faith teaches me to love one another. I live this by volunteering at my children's school, by donating to food drives, by asking how someone is doing and listening to their answer. It is an everyday way of life doing the small stuff. My faith teaches me to Trust God. I do that by praying to him and telling him all that is in my heart. Then I keep praying and choose to have faith that he will be there. And in choosing to have faith I also choose to let go of my fear and doubt.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Ann
Mormons believe that: -God our Heavenly Father is real, that He loves us, and that He has a plan for us. -Jesus Christ is God's son and our Savior who came to Earth to atone for the sins of all of God's children. Christ lived a perfect life here on Earth and is our ultimate example of how to live our lives. -We have been given commandments to live by and we will be blessed for keeping them. -The Holy Ghost helps us feel and understand the truths of God and we feel the presence of the Holy Ghost more fully in our lives as we keep the commandments, are baptized, and act on the promptings, feelings, or thoughts given to us by Him. Our Heavenly Father wants us to listen for this guidance in our lives and know that He is present, listening, and answering our prayers. -The Bible and the Book of Mormon are scriptures, the "work of God". They are the writings of prophets and apostles that we should learn from. -God has given us a prophet here on the Earth today. We have not been left alone to figure out what is expected of us. We are blessed with Heavenly guidance and direction for our day and age. -Part of our Heavenly Fathers plan for us is to enjoy our family relationships for eternity. Show more Show less
