Hi I'm Andrew

I'm from Granite Bay, California. I'm a hunter. I'm an Utrla-Marathon runner. I'm a sports fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well lets see here..... I love hunting, fly-fishing, rock climbing, ultra - marathon running, camping, backpacking, diving, rugby, basketball, football and pretty much all other outdoor activities. I have a wonderful family that consists of my dad, mom, younger brother, and two younger sisters. I LOVE my family and they mean the world to me. I am currently serving a Spanish speaking mission in Boise Idaho for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I am loving every minute of it. I love this church and am so grateful to be a part of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know with out a doubt in my mind that this is the true church. It was in fact established by Jesus Christ during His ministry here on the earth and, after his death, was taken from the earth for a time. I know that the true church as established by Jesus Christ, was restored to the earth again through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know this because I have read the Book of Mormon and I have prayed with real intent and a real desire to know if it is true. I received an answer and I will never deny it! I know that anyone can come to know of the truthfulness of this church through reading the Book of Mormon and truly praying and asking God for an answer. James 1.5 says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given him." I know that to be true because I have tested it in my life. I have asked God and I have received answers. I know that this church is true and that Heavenly Father does in fact answer our prayers if we ask in faith. Jesus Christ is my Savior and He is your Savior. I am eternally grateful for His Atonement and His sacrifice. I love this gospel and I love this church. I love being Mormon!

How I live my faith

I currently live my faith by sharing it with the world. Now that sounds pretty bold, but it is true. I am currently serving a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Idaho Boise Mission. My daily life for the two years that I am here simply consists of teaching and helping people to understand exactly what it is that we believe. As missionaries our purpose is to, " Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end." It is truly a remarkable opportunity to be a LDS missionary. There really is no greater way to live my faith than by devoting these two years of my life to my Lord and Savior through diligent and obedient missionary work. I LOVE this church and I am truly blessed to have this opportunity to serve the Lord in the way that I am.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No... We do not worship Joseph Smith. The name of our church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We worship Jesus Christ and only Him. Joseph Smith is important to our church, but we do not worship him. He is the prophet who restored this church to the Earth and we respect him as we do all other prophets, but we are centered around Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is our Master, Savior, Lord, and King and we worship only Him. Show more Show less
