Hi I'm Ginger

I live in New Mexico. I have a husband and three kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother. I am a daughter and a daughter in law. I am a teacher who chooses to stay at home and teach my own children. My family is everything to me. I am a mother to missionaries.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was raised by my father who is a Mormon and my mother who is not. My father set the example for me by going to church every Sunday. He took me and he helped me learn about the Gospel through his example and his words. But it is more than being raised in the Church that makes me a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I prayed about it and was given very clear confirmation that this is where truth is found. I am Mormon because every time I test a promise the Lord has given us, the promises are met. I am a Mormon because when I attend church I am home.

How I live my faith

First and most importantly, I am a mother and a wife and a member of a large family. Family is important. I try to raise my children well to know right from wrong, to have a relationship with their Father in Heaven. I try to be an example to my family and others around me. I try to live up the expectations and example my father set for me. But it is not all about family. I try to make others around me happy and and to help them recognize how happy I am to live in these times with the Gospel in my life. I have a calling in the church and I try to do all I can to do this work well and serve others. I try to support those that are on missions and sharing the Gospel with others. I believe in what they are doing. Sharing the Gospel, the very thing that makes me happiest, is important. I try to be a support, when I can, for those that have chosen to serve a mission. I am happiest when I am serving others. I believe it is only when we are doing selfless service that we are being Christ like. And ultimately this is the goal, to be like Christ.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

We live like any other person. We are encouraged to live simply, help others, obey the commandments, and develop a personal relationship with our Father in Heaven. Family is important. So we are encouraged to set one night a week aside for a family home evening, to do our genealogy and learn about those in our family that were here before us. We are also encouraged to take care of our brothers and sisters in Christ. We visit each other, encourage each other through difficult times and rejoice in the good times together. As part of taking care of our Church family, sometimes we have callings in the Church this is one way we can help those that meet in our building and to explore our talents and skills.  Show more Show less
