Hi I'm James

I grew up in California. I'm in school. I'm an author. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a 20 year old man I really enjoy interacting with people. I love to write fantasy and have a series of books that I am currently writing. I love basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, swimming, and about anything that involves a ball. I play trumpet, trombone, piano, and a little of the bass guitar. I love to sing and to act. I have an interest in Rome and medieval weaponry. I am planning on going into Physical Therapy and have applied for BYU, BYUI and LDSBC(I like having backups).

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and was taught by my parents. I lived off of their beliefs for a long time. There was a point in my life when I knew that I could not live off of borrowed light anymore. I did not know what to do with my life and I had no direction. I was down in the dark of my own emotions. I read the Book of Mormon, got on my knees and prayed about if it was true and I got the most powerful feeling that I have ever felt of the truthfulness of it. I can not deny what I know is true.

How I live my faith

I went to the Idaho Boise mission as a missionary to share what I know with the people there. I do my best to love people for who they are and who they are tring to become. I attend church every Sunday and I go to as many of the activities that I can. I coached the young men in basketball and volleybal for church activities.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We believe that Joseph Smith was a great man who restored the church in these days, but we do not worship him. We worship God the Father and he is the only one that we worship. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The one and only way to find out if the church is true is by asking God the Eternal Father in the name of Jesus Christ if it is true. God will not lie to us. The way we find out is by asking in prayer. We must ask with a sincere heart and humble enough to be willing to act on the answer we receive. That is the one and only way that we can receive an answer of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Everything technically is Gods. He has given us the chance to use and had stewardship over the earth. He asks for 10 percent from us for us to be able to show our faith in him and to recognize that it is all his in the first place. The tithing goes to building up the Lords kingdom here on the earth.
