Hi I'm Danny

I'm a Mormon. I hope you will seek the truth of, who we are? what we do? and why we do it? God bless you always!

About Me

I am a roofing contractor, I joined the Church in November of 1969, when I returned home after serving in Viet Nam in the Air Force, on a construction team called Red Horse. Shortly after joining the Church I started my own business, I have my four sons working with me in the business. Toni and I have six children, four boys and two girls, we also have nine grandchildren. Both Toni and I are the only members of the Church in our families.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I recognized the truthfulness and purity of the message presented to me by the missionaries. In a world where it seems everything is negotiable and nothing seems to be unchangable, I wanted to be a part of God's very own Church, a Church that operates through inspiration and is guided by unchangable eternal laws and principles and has a population of people that are true Christians, who really do care about each other. My Church membership has provided me with a foundation on which to build an eternal life for me and my family, it also provides me with the opportunity to serve my fellow men and my God.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to be part of many Church sponsored service projects, some of the projects on which I have worked include, Feed the Need a 5K race that raises food for local soup kitchens and food pantries, various projects at local Boys Scout camps and many projects for the local Parks and Recreation department. These projects usually include large numbers of Youth and Adults working side by side. I have the priviledge of serving in a leadership position at Church and helping organize many of these activities. We develop strong bonds of brother and sisterhood which add great strength to our Love for one another, including eliminating petty differences. I testify that all those that serve, learn to Love the Lord by Loving and serving each other.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

We believe we have been sent to earth to be tested to see if we will follow all of Gods commandments. We are here to help each other return home to our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. We are here to marry and estiblish homes in which Heavenly spirits will be raised and nurtured in the Gospel and taught what they must do to return to their Heavenly Father and in so doing become members of eternal families. Families are forever!   Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

I believe that although there has always been many religions, our Heavenly Father surely would provide his children a sure and complete set of directions for their journey home to him. Many of the written scriptures have been changed and modified both intentionally and by mistake, it was necessary for the correct inspired gospel to be restored through direct revelation to a modern day Prophet, which it was by Joseph Smith, in order for all of Gods sons and daughters to have the fullness of the gospel to lead them home.  Show more Show less

What is the priesthood?

God has bestowed the priviledge of having His power and authority delegated to the worthy and faithful men of His Church. The priesthood is infact the use of His power to bless His earthly children and the authority to direct the work of His Church here on the earth, this work is to bring to pass the salvation and eternal life of all of His children, not just members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.  Show more Show less
