Hi I'm Daniel

I'm a Mormon. Thiab kuv yog ib tug tub txib hmoob.

About Me

I live in California, but I'm serving my mission in Oklahoma. I come from a family of 5. I'm the youngest son and middle child. I'm a missionary serving in my native language which is Hmong (Hmoob). I was born in the United States in Rhode Island. When my family moved to California, my grandmother introduced us to the church. We had missionaries come over to my house and teach us the Gospel. They baptized me and my family. I've been a member of the church for eight years and still continuing to build my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. My family is active in the church, my oldest brother served in Thailand, speaking Thai, and I'm in Oklahoma, speaking my native language, Hmong. I'm a big fan of Call of Duty games, Capcom fighting games, and Square Enix Final Fantasy Series. I do play sports sometimes, just volleyball and tennis, nothing much. I do have friends who are on their missions too.

Why I am a Mormon

The Plan of Salvation which is the second lesson of which the Missionaries teach. It was what I was looking for. My father passed away when I was 12 years old. I wanted to find a way to see if I could see my father again. I know I will because the Plan of Salvation. It is the blueprint of our life, the plan that God has created for us to receive a body, to have agency, and gain experience so that we may one day return to live with Him and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Our Heavenly Father wants all of his children to return to Him. That includes every family that He has created here on Earth. Heavenly Father loves us so much that He has given us families. Another great truth is that we are part of His family. Though He sends us here to learn, grow, and experience, He will not abandon us. Though life may be hard, God had sent His Son to make a way for us. Jesus Christ did the Atonement. He paid for our sins and suffered for all of us so that we may not suffer as He did. Since He paid for our sins, all he just wants is for us to repent and come unto him. He will always have someone to lead and guide us to the straight and narrow path. He also answers our prayers if we really do desire it. I know that this is true and that you can know for yourself. And you can! Contact the missionaries. They are representatives of the Lord's Church. Something even better is to talk to a member of the Church.

How I live my faith

I am a Missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I serve in Oklahoma speaking my native tongue. I teach those who are willing to accept our message and those who have a heart to change their lives towards Jesus Christ. Teaching others also helps me learn.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Daniel
The Book of Mormon is the only way any person would have to know in order to find out if the book is true, that Joseph Smith was a Prophet called by God, and that the Church is the Lord's Kingdom here again on the Earth. This is why the Missionaries of the Church would want you to read the Book of Mormon and to really search about it. With a sincere heart, with real intent, and having faith in Jesus Christ, you can know it for yourself. This book is really another Testament of Jesus Christ. It's even on the front cover of the Book. I'm pretty sure that missionaries go knocking door to door, but if you are really curious, just ask for the Book of Mormon and look through it. Some may ask certain questions opposing the Church to Missionaries. The answers we can give you is our testimony. They teach from the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is Faith in Jesus Christ, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. The book has many books that are written by Prophets who are from the American Continent, which is translated through the Prophet Joseph Smith by the power and authority of God, Our Loving Heavenly Father. Remember, that the only way to know if these things are true, it is through the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
