Hi I'm David

Grew up on the Jersey Shore (Exit 100A) in a Methodist Hamlet called Ocean Grove, moved to Colorado and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Studying in Graduate School for a second career in education teaching High School English. I have two children: Noah, 11-years-old and Abbi, 7-seven years-old. I love the mountains. I telemark ski, climb fourteeners, whitewater kayak and I am triathlete. I just completed my first Full Triathlon: 2.4 Swim, 112-Mile Bike and a 26.2-Mile Run; also called the Ironman Distance.

Why I am a Mormon

Mormonism, the LDS Church agrees with me not just spiritually but philosophically. I studied English as an undergraduate and in graduate school; I love to read. One of the things that led me away for being a Methodist and a Catholicism, as well as any organized church in general, was that in never answered any of my questions, thus not agreeing with my love for erudite tendencies for not just spirituality but a philosophical agreement. Mormonism does this.

How I live my faith

I do my best to serve others. It is more than likely I chose teaching as a second career. I want to be able to help the high students navigate those critical years of their lives and be an example to them.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Being healthy is a large part of being a Mormon. I believe it is one of the reason I strive to be fit. Show more Show less
