Hi I'm Jenny

I grew up in Washington, DC. I am a mother of four wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of four wonderful grown children. Reading, cooking, horseback riding, walking, bowling are some of my hobbies. I love to sing in the church choirs. I love music. I belong to two reading groups; one in the local ward and one in my neighborhood. Currently I am teaching early morning Seminary and love learning with the teens in the ward.

Why I am a Mormon

The church answered questions I had after learning about God and Jesus Christ from attending a church school beginning in fourth grade. I joined the LDS church in high school and have enjoyed thirty five plus years of membership. It is the only church on the earth that teaches how all of Heavenly Father's children can return to Him, and provides a way for that to be possible through the holy temples. I have travelled all over the world and love visiting other wards and seeing Saints in other countries and in other languages all bear the same testimony of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and feel that same spirit. It is an amazing feeling. I cannot imagine my life without the gospel and I am so grateful that I was exposed to the church early in my life.

How I live my faith

Because of my husband's job we have moved around a lot and have lived in many wards. One of the frequent comments I heard from fellow Navy wives and neighbors was how I had friends after only one week in a new city! That is because of the church and it's wonderful organization of volunteers all striving to live the commandments of God. There is such a warm and welcoming feeling whenever you attend church and you know you have an instant family when you arrive in a new place. I have enjoyed many responsibilities in the church since we are all volunteer and no one is paid to serve in any capacity. I currently teach the teens in early morning Seminary and we are studying the Old Testament. I love studying the scriptures and learning something new every time I do.
