Hi I'm Caitlin

I love the world and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I study visual art at school, but I make a living editing film for TV and I like to write music reviews. I am a daughter of Heavenly Parents–a Heavenly Father and a Heavenly Mother–who love me and I love Them.

Why I am a Mormon

Music and people! I love alternative! I love indie! I love electronica! I love the people who enjoy it with me. I love them, and I know that God loves them, too. He's our Dad. We have a Heavenly Mother, too! Anyone can know that, if they just pray to ask if it's true. We should love ourselves as our Parents love us. We need to treat ourselves with respect. We should allow ourselves lasting happiness.   It's become normal to hurt ourselves for fun, to go out and get messed up. While it's sensational and exciting, it hurts later. Well, after understanding the value of my life, it's become harder to hurt myself. I've learned that in being Mormon, there's a way to fully enjoy the here and now while staying completely faithful to long-term happiness. I want to raise a healthy, supportive family. I want to have a healthy mind and body. I love my life so I value it! I guess I've taken it upon myself to be there for people in case they want this same freedom.

How I live my faith

When I first meet someone, I don't introduce myself as a Mormon. Most people don't know what that means. Instead, I try to live wisely and make good choices, and it eventually comes out when they ask me why I live the way I do. After my friends get to know me well, when they find out that I'm Mormon, it's makes a bigger impact, because they can see how carefree and content being a Mormon can make me, someone like them.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Heavenly Father (God) has a plan for every one of His children, in the mortal life as well as before and after. There's a lot of evidence of God's plan for each one of us, apparent in the way things work themselves out in life. Even after we die, we can progress as people. We'll still live on and can still be with our families, so the fun and happiness and love and meaningful relationships doesn't end here. Show more Show less
