Hi I'm James

I ride motorcycles, am a paid/call. fireman/EMT, play tennis and the proud father of a serving missionary. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a convert and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Christmas day when I was 18 years old. After joining the military and returning home from active-duty I chose to serve a 2 year mission and was sent to the Spain-Barcelona mission. I married my lovely wife shortly after my return. I have 2 children and own a small business in a medium-sized town. I also enjoy photography and hanging out with family and friends. Each year I count down the days until Spring-time when I enjoy my free time riding motorcycles and kayaking with my boys.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout most of my childhood I had been exposed to many other faiths, thanks to the circle of friends I had associated with. I guess I had always been drawn to many variations of Christianity. I've attended worship services for many Protestant services across America, attended Catholic masses in the monestaries of Spain, and even once attended a Jehovah's Wittness celebration in a stadium with 200,000 people in attendance. All these religions have wonderful, faithful people in them! However, whenever I listen to or examine the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I get a sure and certain feeling that says, "These teachings are true." That's not a feeling I've found anywhere else in the religious world.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my Ward and attend church regularly. At every opportunity I assist the Missionaries with anything they need help with be it tracting, P-Day activities or opening my home up to help their contacts/investigators have a warm, comfortable, spiritual place to have a discussion. I'm active in Boyscouts of America and support my young son in all that he does. I'm not bashful about sharing my beliefs with others at work or at play when they ask me if I'm a Christian.
