Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in a family where love, faith, and prayer were taught in the home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Emily and I am a college student majoring in Advertising. I was raised in a mormon family of six kids and I love all of them so much! I enjoy pilates, gymnastics, cheerleading, and scrapbooking. I hope to get an MBA, find a loving husband, and raise family that I know will be with me for ever and ever.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on the earth. Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God and is the savior of all, but when he came to Earth, along with paying for our sins, and performing miracles by the authority of God which he held, he also organized a church founded upon himself, apostles, and prophets. That same church exists today and I now with all of my heart and this is it! I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, it's the story of God's dealings with the Americas while the Bible was happening on the other side of the world. You can feel it is all true if you just let your heart open and let the spirit touch it. When you read these testimonies of other mormons like me, just let your spirit absorb it, with all the energy of heart, with real intent, with faith in Christ, asking God the Father in your heart in the name of Christ if it is true. I promise you that God will send his heavenly messenger, the holy ghost, the comforter that Jesus promised to and has sent to us, to testify to you that it is true. It may fee like a burning in your chest, or an overwhelming calm and tranquility, or maybe a beautiful dream, but you will feel that it is true.

How I live my faith

Last week I returned from voluntarily serving 18 months of teaching the people of Guatemala about our beliefs and how they can enjoy the blessings of eternal families. I loved every day, even though it wasn't always easy being separated from my family for such a long period of time. It was worth the sacrifice of putting my life on hold for a year and a half so that I could teach others who didn't know that their sins can be forgiven through the atonement of Christ and that through him families can be together forever.
