Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of 3 & husband to one amazing man! I love being able to be home with my little ones, watch them grow, teach them valuable lessons, & drink in their innocence. I believe in the saying, "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy." I have things I like to do that make me happy as an individual. I run outside & workout, I love cooking & all kinds of food, I love to be with my family & vacation to see them whenever possible. I dabble in digital scrap-booking, I am an avid blogger, & love catching up with friends on Facebook. Before I was a mom, I studied Recreational Therapy & worked as a therapist at a home for troubled teens. I would put them in problem solving/difficult situations & loved to see how they figured out to work through them & apply those principles to life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the religion & have a long family line of Mormons in my family but I am a Mormon because I know the teachings in my church are true. I feel it my heart & the teachings guide me in my every day life. I know that I am a daughter of God who lived with Him before I came to this earth, that this life has a purpose & I am here to fulfill that purpose. I know that there is more than this mortal life and that I will live with Him again with my eternal family. Those teachings along with many, many more truths are why I am a Mormon. I hope that in fulfilling my life purpose I can reach out to others, serve them, and lift them to higher ground. The mission of our Savior Jesus Christ was to save lives so I only hope to honor Him by serving in the same way. My church involvement is my best tool to do so!

How I live my faith

I love that in the Mormon faith we are pushed to serve. These opportunities have taught me a lot about other people as well as myself. They have also helped me grow closer to my Heavenly Father. Throughout my life I have many different chances to serve at church. I have organized blood drives, mentored teenagers, directed camps, put together activities to bond families & neighborhoods. I have reached out to the sick, served new mothers, brought food into homes & to those who have recently suffered death in their family. I have taught classes opening my eyes and the students' eyes to spiritual matters that are not always tangible. I have taught young children how to open their eyes, ears, and hearts to the whisperings of Heavenly Father's spirit. I have taught children to pray. I have participated in choirs to sing beautiful hymns to praising God. I try every day to be grateful for what Heavenly Father has blessed me with-earthly goods, my family, friends, etc. I believe that acknowledging God for what I have helps me live my Faith more completely.
