Hi I'm Anna

I grew up in LA, Louisiana. I love Cajun food, Southern people, and this Gospel! I'm proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

I'm awesome! Everyone that knows about the Gospel can understand that. Other than that, I am a single lady populating Colorado Springs as a nanny after graduating from BYU with a degree in Exercise and Wellness. It was a really fun and interesting major because I got to learn more about people and the lifestyles that will prolong their happy state of health. It may be my love for sports like soccer and flag football that made me realize how crucial exercise is to everyone's state of being. I come from a large family that loves playing games, including scum, rook, canasta, spud, fox and geese, etc. You name a game, and I'll try it! My future goals are serving a successful mission, returning to school to study radiology therapy, and marrying someone that I can share eternity with starting here on earth. I am excited about each goal, and along the way, I will continue doing all those things that make life worth living!

Why I am a Mormon

It all started when my Mom decided to join the church at 19 years of age. My dad was raised by two parents who were already members, and when my dad returned from his mission my mom and dad met. Love wasn't immediate, because as my mom says, "he had a baby face." She continues by saying that "he eventually lost that baby face!" Just as Nephi says he was born of goodly parents, my parents have been and are continuing to be a great influence in my life. In my eighth grade year, my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and in my freshman year in high school, he passed away. There were many miracles during his illness, but I decided after his death that I would do everything in my power to be good and return to live with him again. That was life changing, and even though trials have happened in my life, I remember my goal after his death to live according to God's plan. So I repent and continue on. The more that I put into living the Gospel, the more I receive and the happier I have become. One of the greatest blessings in this church is the unlimited amount of knowledge we can gain if we are righteous enough to have the spirit with us to guide us, direct us, and give us revelation. I know the truth because the Spirit has testified to me when truth is being spoken by me and by others. That burning in my bosom and those spiritual goose bumps are things that I cherish because it is the Lord's confirmation that this is the only true church upon the earth, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Living in an area with a single's ward has been great, and I feel as though it has increased my opportunities to serve. I have loved my teaching callings, because I can honestly say I am happiest when teaching. Well that or winning a game! Right now I am serving as a home evening coordinator, and it is a great chance to study and meet the needs of our ward in this way. Activities are a great way to bring people together and form lasting relationships. We recently had a talent show with singers and beep boxers and comedians and comedy skits. It made me realize that Everyone has talents and skills, we just need to recognize them and develop them.
