Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a wife, family member and friend who would jump at the chance to travel the world with those I love. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Arizona and am blessed to be part of a family who makes me happy every day. I'm the youngest of 7 children and am currently the only sibling without children with 28 nieces and nephews! After I graduated high school I attended college in Idaho where I got my associates degree and then moved back to Arizona where, after a few years of being a single working gal with roommates, I met my husband who amazed me with his "goodness". Still does. I currently reside in California while my husband works on his masters degree. I worked supporting him as an educational counselor for 6 years at a private University until November when the company had lay offs and I was one of the unlucky 700. Now I get to support my husband in a different way through being his cheerleader at home until a new job comes along. As I mentioned above I absolutely love to travel and have been fortunate enough to have seen a few amazing US cities and foreign countries in my day and have plenty of stories to tell from those experiences. My ideal day would probably be to surround myself with my family, pizza and gelato some place in Italy!

Why I am a Mormon

Originally I was a Mormon because I was raised in a Mormon household, but my own true testimony of the Mormon faith came in high school. It was then that I truly came to understand how much the gospel of Jesus Christ meant to me. It wasn't something that hit me like a lightning bolt, it came slowly day by day as I strived to live my life by following the example of Christ and doing the things that I know our Heavenly Father would want me to do. I am a Mormon now because I know that it is true, all of it. And I know for myself because I have prayed about it and have felt the strong and peaceful feelings that it is true that Heavenly Father has promised us through the gift of the Holy Ghost. I have seen many great blessings in my life that I know have come through my faith, trust and devotion to the Lord.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be the best person I can each day. I know I am far from perfect but I can truly say that I try. Life is about progression and how can I be progressing if I don't live my life in accordance with what I believe? And that means doing more than just attending church services on Sunday. So each day I try to read my scriptures, I pray morning and night and many little heartfelt prayers throughout the day as needed, I try to be kind and understanding of others, I try to remember the blessings God has given me in my life which are many, and since living your faith is a lot more than just outward apperances, I try to keep my thoughts positive and pure.
