Hi I'm Loren

I LOVE LIFE......and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am often told that I am an eternal optimist. I believe that life is GREAT....and I know that it is going to get better from here!! I'm often whistling a happy tune. I am more in love with my wife today than the day I married her over 26 years ago. We have four wonderful children. My favorite way to spend any free time I have is with them. I love sports I played college basketball. I am the President of a company in the advertising industry and enjoy helping companies grow and market their products / services. I believe that life should be fun and happy...but that, if we REALLY want to be happy, we need to quit worrying about ourselves and go make someone else's life a little better!!

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the center of my life. I cannot picture how my life would be without it. It is the reason that I am the eternal optimist that I am. I know that the Bible is true. I LOVE how it testifies of Christ. I believe that families are supposed to be forever. We aren't supposed to live in this world and do all we do with our wife and children only to just be another person to them in the hereafter. Instead, we have a chance to have our love and our marriage be an eternal one, without all of the trials and challenges we faced in this life. I love the outlook on life that the true Gospel of Jesus Christ brings. This life is a test. We need to follow Christ and pass the test. This test is "open book" with the Bible and the Book of Mormon and living prophets to help give us the answers. I'm a Mormon because it is all true...and it is HAPPY!! Many people are kept from the truth only because they don't know where to find it. If you are on this site, you have finally found it!! Congratulations!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by putting God first in my life. Interestingly, I have found that the more important He has become in my life, the better I treat others, as well. My wife and family become more important. I love how everyone has a responsibility in our church. Since noone is paid to lead our congregations, we all give of our time to help bless each others' lives. As a Mormon, no matter where you go in the world, you know that you have friends, waiting to help you....and waiting for you to help them. We each look out for each other, Each of us even has someone who checks on us each month to make sure we are okay and we each have the opportunity to do that for someone else. That is TRUE Christianity looking out for each other and helping to lift others up.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Loren
I wish EVERYONE would welcome the missionaries into their home at least once. These young men and women leave their homes, families and friends for a period of between 18 months and two years. At their own personal expense, they spend every day searching for people to help and talk to. Their message is one of hope and happiness. They answer questions and help people overcome doubt, discouragement and despair. Many people have lots of questions and are willing to look in all kinds of places for answers. Why not give those two young men in white shirts and ties a chance....at least once! After all, it is a right thing to do to treat them kindly. And, even if you don't think you would be interested, at the very least, you would come away from the time with them with a better understanding of what our Church believes....instead of what you have heard from others. Next time you see them, let them in. You'll be glad you did. Show more Show less
