Hi I'm Melissa

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Arizona and raised in California and Idaho. I am a retired 5th grade teacher

About Me

I have raised a family of 6 which are now all gone and raising families of their own. I enjoyed teaching grade school. I am enjoying retired life with my husband and visiting grandkids.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon, but had to find to find out for myself if the Church and its teachings and doctrines are true. I know that God heard my prayers and prompted me to share my testimony with others I know that GOD lives and Jesus Christ is his son. I am grateful for the Holy Ghost that confirms in my heart and mind the truthfulness of his Gospel.

How I live my faith

My husband and I start our week by volunteering at the local Bishops Storehouse which is a food bank for needy members of the church. The products are all grown on Church Farms and processed in Church Canneries by Volunteer members. Those requiring assistance are referred by their Bishop. Usually they have had the chance to work on one of the projects so that they do not feel they are getting a handout but a handup.
