Hi I'm Cassie

I love sunny days, singing in choir, playing soccer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student and am working my way towards becoming a pediatric nurse. I love kids and have always known I wanted to work with them. I love to sing in choirs, there's something about having lots of people together to sing that makes me so excited. I love to play soccer, especially in the rain. I love to read, anything but the Twilight series, and I've been playing the piano for 12 years and am so glad my mom never let me quit.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I was lucky enough to be born into a family that is in the church. But I'm Mormon for other reasons than just that. I've prayed to know for myself if this church is true, and I know without a doubt that it is. The church helps me be a better person and it gives me something to work towards in this life. It gives my life purpose and direction. I feel so lucky that I was born into a family that's strong in the gospel, I've learned so much from my parents and even from my aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. The Book of Mormon is an amazing book, I've felt the Spirit each time I've read it, and it gives me so much hope because by reading it you come to know Jesus Christ better.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church regularly and trying to apply what I learn there to my everyday life. I read my scriptures everyday and I go to classes during the week where we talk about what we've read. This is the best part of my day at school, because I can get away from whatever crazy things are happening on campus and feed my spirit.

What is being a Mormon like?

Some people think that being a member of the church restricts the things we can do. But in reality that's not true. The commandments we have received from our prophets are put in place to keep us safe. Being a member of the church I'm just like everyone else, there are just certain things I don't do because we've been told that it's in our best interest not to do them. Show more Show less
