Hi I'm Tess

I'm a student, a wife, and a blogger. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I were married in March 2009 in the Los Angeles Temple. I was 19 when I got married, so I'm still in school. I'm an English major in San Diego, California. I have traveled all over the world, and hope to continue traveling with my husband and our children (when we have them). I'm a crafter, a writer, a cook, a seamstress, a housewife, a student, a medical assistant, a tutor, a chinchilla owner, a ukulele player, and the Beehive adviser for the young women in my ward. It's all in a day's work!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I believe the church is the true and full gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe that the principles taught in the LDS church are there to help me live a happy, healthy, safe, spiritual life, and return to Heavenly Father. I have a particular testimony of the Plan of Salvation, and eternal families. I know that I will be with my family forever. Knowing that life with the people I love doesn't stop after our mortal lives are over, gives me motivation each day to be better and love even more.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an active, worthy member of the church. I take care of my body, try to set a cheerful, good example to others, and share my beliefs with people I care about. Being the Ward Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, I'm building food storage, learning to sew and be self-sufficient, and help others around me do the same.
