Hi I'm Janessa.
I'm a Birth Mother, and I'm a Mormon.
A few years ago I placed a baby girl for adoption. Many people ask, "Why? How could you do that?!" Well, there are many reasons of course, but mainly it was out of love. I believe that families can be together forever through all eternity. I wanted my daughter to have an eternal family that included both a loving mother & father, which I was not able to provide for her. I was able to give her more. She saved me from a very unhappy life and I love her more than I ever thought possible. I am a beloved daughter and sister. I am confident. I am a college graduate. I am a lover. I am a mature woman. I am strong. I am a professional. I am smart. I am beautiful. I am a birth mother.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon simply because I love being a Mormon! My faith is the only thing that has brought me to true, lasting happiness. I love the way I feel when I attend church, pray, or read the scriptures. I feel peace, love and joy when I learn more about Christ's life and His love for us. I feel so incredibly blessed to be a part of this church and I wish everyone could feel the happiness that it brings!
How I live my faith
I try to live what I believe everyday. I try to be a good person in all I do. I rely on the Lord to give me strength throughout each day, because this life isn't easy. I know that I am not alone because I know that God loves me. I live knowing that God wants all His children to be happy. I haven't always known that and now I don't take it for granted. I live grateful every day that I have had a second chance at happiness. I try to share this with other women at birth parent/expectant parent group meetings and also through my blog. I want people to know that there is hope for true happiness!
