Hi I'm Curtis

I have fun, I love life, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am 25 years old. I served a 2 year mission for the Church in Roseville California. It was by far the best experience of my life thus far. The best but yet most difficult two years of my life. It has shaped who I am today. I am a recent graduate of Brigham Young University-Idaho. I currently work for a digital marketing agency, The Dealio, as an account manager. I love to have fun. My friends and I love to make videos, goof around and enjoy life. I love to play tennis, snowboard and jetski. I truly enjoy my life, I live by a quote given by Joseph Campbell, "The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are." I absolutely believe this quote. Life is amazing, and I do everything I can to live it to the fullest.

Why I am a Mormon

The question is why am I Mormon? A good question. I was raised in the Church, baptized at age 8, went through all the organizations with the youth and scouting programs, served a mission, attending a Church offiliated school, but the question is why? I am Mormon because this Church, this way of life has brought me more blessings than I could ever imagine. The family I have been given, the learning opportunities I have been involved in, and the testimony of Jesus Christ that I have recieved has truly shaped who I am today. I am Mormon because it makes me happy, it gives me strength, it gives me a reason to live. The doctrine in our church is true. It is simple, and a humble and sincere heart will realize that. This Church is the Church of Jesus Christ. The Savior of the world is at the head of this Church, and He, along with Heavenly Father care for every single person that has or ever will live in this earth. This knowledge brings me hope, it brings be peace, it brings me love. Without The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I know that I would be lost. I am so thankful for the testimony I have of this great truth, and I know that anyone who is looking for eternal and endless happiness can find it through this Church.

How I live my faith

When it comes to religion, you will often know people that can "pick and choose" how and what they worship. Whether it is deciding to attend church ever so often, or praying only at certain times. The beauty of our Church and religion is that it is more than that. Our faith and religion can be exhibited everyday in how we choose to live our lives. I live everyday in a way where I can hopefully look back and know that God and Jesus Christ would be proud of me. We are all trying to become more like Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ, so we must live in a way where we can invite righteousness into our lives. Obviously I am not perfect, but I try always to be a good person, to help others and trust in God. For me it is not an option to live it one day and not others. I have been baptized a member, and from that point forward I will always be a member, so I want to do everything I can to live a righteous life. And blessings really do come from living this way. I have experienced it countless times.
