Hi I'm Mike
I'm a retired licensed clinical social worker, have a large family, am very musical, and I'm a Mormon.
I'm a 75-year old man who loves sports, music and best of all my wife and our 11 children and 22 grandchildren. I play piano and sing. I sang in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and directed many church choirs over the years in different locations. I enjoy gardening, playing racquetball, and spending time with my grown children and grandchildren. People like to talk to me. I'm a good listener and people say I'm very loving. I love animals and to play with children. I've had many successes as a professional in the mental health field.
Why I am a Mormon
My parents were not active in the Mormon Church. I developed an interest through the scouting program when I was 13. I got into many leadership positions, served a mission to Brazil, and have continued to be active in the church my entire life. I love to teach people about the church. My testimony has developed as I studied many religions and found out for myself that I don't just belong to another church, but the true church, andI know that God lives and answers prayers very personally and directly. I found that God is consistent with his commandments and when I live by them God is bound to bless me as he promises he will.
How I live my faith
I have served in many leadership positions in the church. I'm happiest when serving others. My wife and I are presently serving a senior mission in the Massachusetts Boston Mission. I love the association with other men and women who serve and are great examples of living the happy life. We work in the temple regularly and try to see our family in many locations throughout the country as we can. All of our nine sons and one of our daughters have served as missionaries in various places in this country and in foreign countries.
