Hi I'm John Glass

I am a teacher, an author, and a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I teach at a unique private school, write children's books, and have several adult children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the message two young men brought to our home years ago. They asked our family to pray about the Book of Mormon and find out for ourselves if it was true. I accepted this invitation, and as I worked on reading the book and took my questions to the Lord, received my own answer that it was of God. This answer strengthened my faith in Christ, and the principles my family and life are based on.

How I live my faith

Like many others, my faith is the foundation of my character. My relationship with God influences who I am and what I choose to do. My faith in the gospel strengthens my commitment to my family and my children. Daily family scripture study, regular talks with my kids, and finding ways to serve others together has drawn our family closer, and helped the children and me to endure life's challenges while helping those around us.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

John Glass
The answer to this question is a resounding yes. Yes families can be together forever. No, families aren't perfect--just as people aren't perfect. Perfection isn't required. Faith in Christ matters. It is his sacrifice, his love, and his plan that makes this blessing possible. I am grateful that the atonement makes forever families possible. As a widower, I know personally that family bonds continue beyond the veil. When we make and keep covenants, our relationships need not end with death. Our loved ones are then bound to us--and I can tell you that this has been the case for me. Do I miss her? Yes more than I can tell you. Is she gone? Only from her mortal body. I know from experience that she and others are yet very much alive. I know, from experience, that our loved ones watch over, still love, and still care as much as ever. This is something you can know as well. It is a blessing anyone can experience. If you need to know ask in prayer. The answer will come if you seek in faith and patience. It has for me time and again. Show more Show less
