Hi I'm Sara

I'm a mommy to a beautiful, bouncing, baby boy. I'm an avid Utah State Aggie fan. I love to exercise and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and now live in California with my wonderful husband and awesome son. I love to read books with my baby and teach him to sing and play the piano. My favorite past time is exercising, of any kind! I enjoy blogging and chatting on the web cam with family and friends who don't live near us, and am just starting to dabble at being crafty! I like spending my weekends outdoors with my little family, hiking, swimming, wherever nature calls us. My husband has given me the travel bug after taking me to live in Washington DC for a short period of time. We have visited the vast majority of the United States and have even ventured to Paris, France and London, England. I can't wait to see where our next travels take us! I received my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Business Management, then helped put my husband through school, including receiving his Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, before I received the greatest calling in the world to be a mom!

Why I am a Mormon

I love my family more than anything. I know that through God's plan, I can be with them forever. Life would be so unfulfilling if it ended at death. But I know that we can live again, that Jesus Christ died for us so that we can live eternally. I want nothing more than to live my life with my family on this earth, and then continue to do so on the other side. Knowing that if I live righteously, I can be with them forever, gives me hope for every new day. God wants all of us to be happy. And my family makes me happier than anything else. So of course He wants me to be able to be with them now and always. The temples are how we can make this happen. Temples are what can bind us to our families eternally. I love going to the Temple, to serve or even just to visit. You can feel how sacred it is, just by being on the grounds. I am so thankful that my family began in the Temple, and that we can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I have tried to teach my son basic principles, even as a baby, such as folding arms for prayer and showing reverence at church. I know that small fundamentals that help him feel the Spirit will help him start to grow his own testimony. I serve with the children in our ward, and it has been a wonderful way to help me learn how to teach the gospel in my own home. The children are so close to our Savior, and you can see His light radiate through them. I love to hear why they love Jesus, and see them try to be like Him. I know that Jesus loves the children and wants us to be more like them, by being "submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love" (Mosiah 3:19) and I am striving to do so.
