Hi I'm Julee

I like it when people call me Jules.

About Me

I am striving everyday to be a patient and kind mother and an affectionate and caring wife, to say and do things the right way, the way Jesus Christ would have me, to prioritize my life with Him at the top. I fall short more often than not, but everyday I get up and try again. Everyday is a new start because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. There is always hope, always another chance because of a merciful and loving God above. I am experiencing one of the most challenging times in my life. Each and every day is full of challenges, as it should be, and being a good spouse and a good parent to three sweet little children while trying to also be good at everything else life requires isn't easy. I could not do what I am trying to do without my testimony that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that Heavenly Father loves me and has provided a way for everyone to be with Him in the end. Amid the current challenges and circumstances of life, I find myself forgoing those things that I once thought essential, like splendid and crazy adventures in the great outdoors, making fine and fancy confections, or reading an intriguing novel in order to keep up with the needs of my family and church. There is a time and season for everything. I am in the growing season: growing patients, growing compassion, growing diligence, growing perseverance, growing temperance and meekness, growing strength, growing a family, and growing Christ-like love.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of love. I have wonderful parents who love the Lord, each other, and their children. Because of that love, they were able to create within our home a sacred environment in which my brothers and sisters and I were taught and could observe gospel principles being lived every day. I have never doubted my upbringing. I took what they gave me and lived it, learning, feeling, and eventually knowing for myself that God lives and we are all His children that Jesus Christ is the Savior of mankind and that His gospel has been restored on the earth today with all of the saving ordinances through the power of the priesthood. I know that God hears and answers our prayers. I know that the church was restored through God's chosen servant, Joseph Smith and that we have a living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson who will not lead us astray. I know that we can receive the guidance, direction, correction, and protection from the Holy Ghost that we need to make it back to live with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and our families for all eternity.

How I live my faith

I teach youth Sunday School every week to those that are 14 and 15 years old. I think about them, pray for them, and try to prepare and present lessons each week with the Holy Spirit as my guide. I am learning so much along the way and am grateful for the chance to be their teacher.
