Hi I'm Jared

I manage websites for a living. I'm a sports lover. But most importantly, I'm a husband and father. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm just a guy - a pretty lucky guy most days, but I'm just a guy. I get up in the morning and go to work to provide for my beautiful family, and then I come home. I enjoy helping others, working in the yard, playing soccer with my kids and watching all kinds of sports - especially football!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel in my heart and in my spirit that God lives. God is real, and his son, Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of the World. I have studied - and taught - the doctrines of the Church since I was young. I have spent many a long night studying, pondering and praying about the teachings of the prophets and the scriptures and have come to learn through the Holy Ghost of the simple, beautiful truths they contain. I remain a Mormon because of the fellowship and support I receive from those who share similar spiritual knowledge and conviction. I am in no way perfect; and that is okay.

How I live my faith

I volunteer my time and energy to help the Church in my neighborhood sustain itself and grow. Sometimes my time is spent fulfilling administrative duties, such as record-keeping. At other times I find myself spending time with other church members, whether it be for Gospel discussion or helping them through any particular difficulty they may be experiencing. From time to time I assist the missionaries in our area so they can more effectively share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those who are interested in learning more about our church.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Mormons hold that God is literally the father of mankind. We are his children, and he knows and loves us. He created us in his image, meaning we appear like Him, only his body is immortal and perfect. Because he loves us, he wants us to be happy - in this life and the life to come. For that purpose he has set out a plan whereby we can return to his presence after we die. He is all-powerful and all-knowing, yet understanding, merciful and kind. Show more Show less
