Hi I'm Garret

I have a loud laugh. I love movies, people, and espn.com. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a newly married man that has the cutest wife in the world. Last summer, I graduated from college, got married, and got a career all in about a month! Now, I feel like I'm supposed to be a grown-up. I love my job of teaching high school kids about the gospel of Jesus Christ. My favorite sports are volleyball, racquetball, and ultimate frisbee, but it's been too long since I played any of them. I love listening to audiobooks, watching movie trailers online, classic rock, and spending time with my adorable wife. I drive a 2002 Toyota Tacoma named Herman, and live in a basement apartment that is the perfect temperature for me, but always too cold for my wife. When I'm with my family or friends, it doesn't matter if we're doing a fun activity or just sitting around, because I'm having fun and we're laughing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family that is strong in the Mormon faith. I am grateful that I have parents that brought me up in a way to love Jesus Christ and follow His example. I am grateful for the principles that I believe and live. The reason I continue to live the Mormon religion is because it brings me joy. As I look around and see the sources of fleeting and momentary pleasure that the world has to offer, I am grateful that my faith helps me feel true happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in simple ways. I smile at strangers, jump at the opportunity to help others, and try to be the best husband I can be. Each day, I study the scriptures and the words of the Savior. I pray to the Lord and try to spread His love with my friends and neighbors. Each week, I attend church and enjoy the wonderful friendships with other church members. I am far from perfect, and I stumble and falter all the time. But, ultimately, I live my faith by trying to become a little closer to my Savior each day.
