Hi I'm Cindy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has made my journey of life with my husband and five daughters a joyous adventure even during the difficult times we all face one way or another. Now as the girls have left home, started their own families and my husband and I are preparing for a mission in September of 2011, I am thankful to know my family will be looked after and cared for by a loving Heavenly Father. I am anxious to see the blessings they will enjoy from our service to our Lord and Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Gospel has been restored through a prophet, Joseph Smith. When missionaries taught me in 1975, the Spirit bore witness to me that the Book of Mormon is true. I didn't care how the Mormons said they received the Book, I just knew it was true. After years of study I realized I had a testimony of Joseph Smith just as sure as I had a testimony of the Book of Mormon being the word of God. As a child I had studied the Bible and had many questions. I found the Book of Mormon answered those questions even as it confirmed many truths in the Bible.

How I live my faith

I have been very blessed through the years by being able to work with the teenagers in the church. My favorite work has been teaching them in an early morning religion class. When I say early morning, I mean EARLY morning, 540am five days a week. All through high school these young men and women study the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it sustains them through the trials everyone faces. What a joy it is to see them mature into wonderful young adults prepared to meet the world and all it has to offer.
