Hi I'm Sarah

A lover of all things creative, a seeker of beauty striving to capture the magical moments of this amazing life with my family.

About Me

First and foremost I am a daughter of God. Nothing rings truer to my soul. I’ve been married to the love of my existence for almost five years. Together we have two of the cutest kids you’ll ever meet, but I’m maybe a bit biased. I love cut flowers, long walks with my family and natural light streaming through the windows. My kids and I have kitchen dance parties on a regular basis and pandora is almost always playing. I’m a pretty big lover of this simple life of mine. I recently started a photography business, which has been beyond scary for me, but I've been amazed at how powerfully I've felt God's love and approval of the work I've put into it. Striving to create beauty, whether in portraits or how I decorate my living room, is one way I'm striving to become like my Savior, the ultimate creator. I’m the kind of person who could sit in an airport all day long just to watch the people around me. Wondering where they’re from, why they’re traveling, how many kids they have, what makes them happy and what heartaches they’re carrying. I truly believe with every fiber of my being, that we are all children of God, sent here to experience the ups and downs life offers us. Sometimes the trials seem too heavy to bear, when we reach for Christ He will rescue us and light the way Because of Him we are able to press on and find joy no matter our circumstances.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a home where both of my parents are mormon, and while it might seem like its been forced upon me, it hasn't. I have chosen to stay a member of His Church. I love this gospel with all my heart. I've had so many experiences where the Spirit has warmed my heart, and given me feelings that I can't deny. Experiences like these have assured me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. There is no doubt in my mind, that Joseph Smith really was a Prophet of God, and that he translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God. I've read the Book of Mormon many times, and I know that it is Gods will for us to read it and learn from it continually, because it is true! President Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet today. He knows the will of God and if we listen to his words, we will be blessed. Jesus Christ lives, and He is our Heavenly Father's son. They are two separate beings who are one in purpose. I love my Savior so much and will forever be indebted to Him for the sacrifice He made, so that my sins can be forgiven, and so that I can live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I am not perfect. Far from it actually. Living my faith is a day to day process. Some days are great, and other days aren't so great, but the important thing is that I keep trying. Each day I try to be a little better and work a little harder. Doing things like reading my scriptures, praying daily to my Heavenly Father, strengthening my relationship with my husband, and trying to better my self each day are all part of the process. I try to be involved in my ward, but sometimes its hard when I'm not too outgoing. I've always loved music, and being part of my ward choir makes me feel involved. Just looking for ways to help those around me, as Jesus would, is in my opinion, the best way for show my faith.
