Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a mother of 2 crazy boys and a baby girl. I love to sing, play sports, and read. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to college for Early Childhood Education. Some people didn't understand why I would spend so much time and energy going to school when I planned on being a stay-at-home mom. I did get to teach for 4 years, and now I get to teach my children at home the things I taught other children in school! I love playing sports in my free time...especially volleyball. It's a good stress reliever!

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up being a member of the Church, but my real conversion to the gospel happened when I was 14. I had the opportunity to go the Palmyra, New York and walk in the woods where Joseph Smith had the First Vision. While walking in the woods the Holy Ghost was very strong and I knew that he truly saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I knew that he was a prophet of God who helped bring about the gospel in this dispensation. Although I new that Joseph Smith was a prophet, it wasn't until a couple years later that I had a testimony of the Book of Mormon. You'd think that since I grew up in the Church I would've read the Book of Mormon many times, but that wasn't so. It wasn't until I actually read it through myself that I felt the truth of the words that were written. It is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

In my ward I had the calling of Visiting Teaching Coordinator. We as members visit the other women in our church just to see how they are doing, strengthen homes and families, and help increase each other's faith. I was in charge of making sure that every woman in our church had visiting teachers and had someone else to see.   Now I get to be in the Primary and be with the children of our ward. Here I get to teach them the fundamentals of the gospel and show them how much I love it! I also get to help them start gaining their own testimonies.
