Hi I'm Claudine

I grew up on a dairy farm in Idaho. I'm the wife of one and mother of five. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a dairy farm in Idaho. My parents taught us how to work a how to serve our neighbors. I attended a university where I studied to become a Biology teacher. I also am passionate about math and love using what I have learned about teaching to help students struggling with that subject. After graduating from college, I made the decision to become a full-time mother. My husband and I have five children. We are busy keeping up with them as they learn and discover who they will be. I enjoy reading, sewing and volunteering at my children's schools.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who are committed to living the gospel of Jesus Christ. They both set examples as they live lives of service. They taught me from the beginning what they believe to be true. As I have grown, I learned for myself the joy the gospel brings. I have studied the scriptures and prayed to seek confirmation of the things I was taught in my youth. The feelings of peace that have come as I have pondered the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ and considered my place in God's plan have guided me throughout my life. As a young woman I had the opportunity to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I discovered the difference the teachings of the church could make for the honest seeker of truth. The standards of conduct taught in the church, through a living prophet, have strengthened me and my family in this world of ever-changing values. I feel like I have a firm foundation because of my faith in Jesus Christ and my trust in those he has called to guide us. The winds of change and turmoil can swirl around me and, yet, I can feel confident that God, my Heavenly Father, is in charge and will buoy us up.

How I live my faith

I volunteer in my community by serving on the board of our local elementary parent teacher association and by helping out with my older children's band booster associations. I work as a Scout Committee Chair for our local unit of the Boy Scouts of America. We work to help the scout leaders accomplish the best for our youth in the program as well as teach parents what they can do to help. Each month I visit with three women in their individual homes. We share life experiences and build each other's faith.
