Hi I'm Steve

I'm a computer programmer, a husband, a board gamer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife and spend a lot of my time with her. I also enjoy playing Designer board games (like Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, etc.) and play Magic the Gathering and other collectible games. I enjoy watching movies and reading books, mostly Sci-Fi and Fantasy. I listen to mostly Alternative and Rock, including Christian music. I'm also a computer programmer and web designer. I enjoy playing some video games, like NBA 2K, Civilization, Heroes of Might and Magic, and Railroad Tycoon. I also am a big basketball and football fan. I love my home team, the Orlando Magic, and enjoy watching both college and professional sports. I also enjoy playing them as often as possible. For work, I am a consultant programmer and web design. I use Visual Studio 2010 and Adobe CS4. I enjoy solving problems and creating web sites.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the LDS church at the age of 17, 3 months before I was 18. I had a friend in High School that enjoyed the same hobbies as me and I went to his house often. His family was always nice and their beliefs seemed to be a part of who they were. My friend invited me to church and I enjoyed it very much. But, more importantly, I could feel through the Holy Ghost that it was the Lord's Church. Shortly after I met the missionaries, who taught me more about the church. I always felt the spirit while they taught and I was baptized shortly afterwards. About a year later, I was able to serve as a missionary. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Through that service and all of my different assignments in the church, I have felt the spirit more and more in my life. This is why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

I regularly visit families each month to share a spiritual message and see what they need. I also serve as Executive Secretary, who schedules the Bishop's appointments.
