Hi I'm Justin

I'm a prosecutor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I joined the Church when I was 18, and it is the best choice I ever made. I went to college in Maryland and law school in Utah. In my free time I love to play golf!

Why I am a Mormon

I never liked going to church as a kid until I got invited to attend the Mormon church by a friend when I was 16 and went with him. It was the first time I ever enjoyed going to church and I knew it was right. I have been going ever since.

How I live my faith

My wife and I attend church every Sunday. I try to be an example to the people around me as we live in an area where there are not many Mormons. Sometimes, people are curious about our beliefs and I always try to answer their questions. Most of the questions I get have to do with why I don't drink alcohol and things of that nature.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Going on a mission is strongly encouraged for young men, however there is no requirement or mandate that a young man go. As an only child, I prepared to go on a mission, but my parents, who are not Mormon, could not understand and it became a strain on our family. I found myself faced with a difficult task, but ultimately elected not to go on a mission because in my view and understanding of Church doctrine, the family is paramount. Instead of going on a mission, I attended law school in Utah, which really helped my parents become more accepting and understanding of the church and its members. Show more Show less
