Hi I'm Diane

I dress up as a zombie and join thousands of other dancers to perform "Thriller" once a year. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife, mother of four, step-mother of two. I volunteer at local elementary schools teaching line dances to the kids in the after-school program. I also volunteer as an instructor for "Thrill The World". I've taught hundreds of people to do the "Thriller" dance so that they could participate in the world-wide event. I love volleyball, all kinds of dancing and DJing church dances and wedding receptions.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon Church in Utah. I never had a rebellious period. I've always wanted to do the right thing. However, it wasn't until I moved away from Utah, as an adult, that I really gained a testimony of the Church. My husband was in the military, so we have moved every 3 to 4 years and I have gotten the opportunity to meet people of all different religions. Sharing my beliefs with non-Mormons has really helped my testimony to grow. I have also had many teaching opportunities within the church that has helped my testimony grow. Teaching and sharing the gospel is absolutely essential in building your own testimony.

How I live my faith

I teach early morning seminary (religion studies for high schoolers) to the freshman every school day at 6:00 AM. These youth are completely dedicated to learning the gospel and strengthening their testimonies...even at 6 in the morning. I also serve in primary (for kids 3-12 years old). I have a special class of ONE wonderful autistic boy. He is such a joy to spend time with each Sunday. I am also the Young Women's camp director. I get to take the girls (12-18 years old) camping each summer. We leave the distractions of modern life behind for one week and focus on God's creations, forging lasting friendships and developing our personal relationship with God. It's my favorite week of the whole year. I love working with the youth of the church!
