Hi I'm Victor

I grew up in Maryland as an inactive Mormon, now I'm active.

About Me

A lifelong Marylander I met and married an Ohio girl, that's why I live in Ohio. I'm a Civil War nut and hard core political junkie . Due to the economy I'm going back to college to finish my degree, ah procrastination... a lifelong battle.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always knew the LDS church was true even when I was not just inactive, but a shallow, self serving, coarse individual. I was always on the inactive list so the Missionaries would come by once in a while, for years, and invite me to church. It wasn't untill decades later when the LDS Missionaries came over, that I heard a still small voice say "this is the last time I'll bother you". Up untill that moment I thought I'd have the rest of my life to "come back". Since becoming an active member of The Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have realized that that my life out of the Church was a life wasted. I blessed that the Lord gave me one more chance to returne to the fold.

How I live my faith

Me and my wife attend church weekly. She teaches young women, 16-18, and I play the piano and teach lessons.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Victor
The Word of Wisdom is Prophesy the our Prophet Joseph Smith revealed in 1833 that Mormons should not drink coffee, tea or use tobacco products. For me its personal. When I was inactive, I smoked two packs a day, drank so much that I disliked hearing the word alcoholic, and live off coffee the rest of the day. On Mother's Day 2000, the missionaries came by and ask if the the could take my cigarettes, rum and coffee. With the Lords help. and ONLY with the Lords help, I forsaked all. Show more Show less
