Hi I'm John

I'm a convert to the church. I am a Father of four, a therapist to many. I have an amazing wife and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have red hair. I joined the church when I was 20 years of age and quickly went on a mission to San Diego, CA. I have four amazing children and the greatest wife in the world. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. I love to spend time with my family and laugh with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's kingdom on this earth. And also because two kind people were in tune with the Spirit to reach out to me share their faith, their home, and their love. I joined the church at age 20 and 14 years latter my life has blossomed with purpose, joy, and meaning.

How I live my faith

Daily! Daily striving and seeking grace and inspiration of my Savior Jesus Chrst. I live striving to have an open heart. I live with laughter and purpose. As a therapist and I seek daily to lift the hands the hang down, to help mend the broken hearted. It is my purpose to be like my Savior and help others get past the obstacles in their lives. That they may know who they are, that they may have understanding and hope that tomorrow can be a better day.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

I think for the most part just like everybody else. They have worries, they have families, they have problems, they have obstacles just like everybody else. The thing that makes most of them different is they have purpose, they have hope, they have the healing grace of our Savior with in reach. With every fear, with every struggle, with every challenge, or tragedy they have a place to go to get answers. They have heavens help, they have the help of their friends, and their leaders at Church. Mormons have a wealth of supportive networks which in a moments notice are their to comfort, listen, pray, and walk with through life trials. That is what it means to be a Mormon. It means to be there with the hope and light and the love of Jesus Christ as our guide. That is how the Mormons I know live!  Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Because the Church is true. Because God counts on regular people to do some of his greatest works. Because serving God and exercising the priesthood is pay enough. Because you can't put a price on God's work. Because to serve, to become like our Savior is to go above and beyond the natural course of life, to give more then you have and gain the wealth of eternity. Because the work of god isn’t a job it a labor of love. Show more Show less
