Hi I'm Karinne

I'm from Oregon. I'm a college graduate. I love to run. I'm a mom. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Oregon and grew up running Track and playing Volleyball. I am the youngest girl in my family out of 6, with a younger brother. It wasn't easy having 4 amazing older sisters to live up to, but I made my own way just fine with some help of course. I moved away from home for the first time when I went to college, which was scary, but I met a very funny and outstanding man who I later married. Now we have a very energetic and happy little boy with another on the way. I may not have a lot of time for myself anymore what with being a stay-at-home mom, but I still enjoy spending time with my family and friends and going on dates with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have gone to church with my family ever since I can remember. My family was always involved in church activities and were great examples to me as to how a strong member with a strong testimony acted. Even though I was raised a Mormon and was always taught what they believe, the church was never forced on me. I have always known for myself that the Gospel is true. I have felt peace and happiness come from the teachings of the Gospel and from my church leaders. Being married to my husband and having children of my own now I have come to better understand the Gospel and what Heavenly Father wants for us. I know that Heavenly Father loves us and that He lives. He sacrificed his son, Jesus Christ, so that we can live with Him again. There is no purer love than the love our Heavenly Father has for us. Knowing that has given me hope and a thirst to do what is right and I know that through Christ all things are possible.

How I live my faith

Currently at church, I serve the children. I get to work with these sweet little kids and those that teach them. They may still be learning how to hold a crayon and learning how to draw in between the lines, but these young children are so innocent and pure. They teach me patience, humility and how to trust. One of the many wonderful things about the church is that through our service to others, no matter what we do, helps us learn and grow. I know Heavenly Father has organized the church in such a way where if we are looking out for those around us, we are ultimately serving Him. What other purpose is there in life if not to help all of God's children? When I teach the young children, help my neighbor, or smile at strangers it gives me happiness. I know that is what Heavenly Father would want me to do, even if those things are small.
