Hi I'm Natalee Fehr

I'm a wife, mother, teacher, artist and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am really lucky. I am married to my best friend! We have been blessed with four beautiful children. Our family brings me so much joy and happiness. I love being with my husband and children. They are my treasure. Our home is filled with love and laughter. After I graduated from college with a teaching degree, I decided to be a stay at home mother. When my children were in school I started teaching preschool in my home. I love teaching preschool and I love my students. It is a privilege to teach children. I love the wonder, excitement, enthusiasm and amazement found in their eyes. I learn from their unconditional love. Preschool is so much fun! I also enjoy teaching art. God created such a beautiful world! From the beaches to the mountains, I am amazed. I love flowers! I love their colors, fragrances and the way they dance in the breeze. Beauty surrounds us! It is a gift to be able to look at a sunset and capture it on a paper or a canvass. God is truely the Master Artist! I am truly blessed with love and surrounded by beauty.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace and hope I find within the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for the knowledge of a loving God, who has provided a way for me to be with my family forever. I am thankful the family unit does not end at death. In today’s world it would be very easy to always be afraid. There are natural disasters as well as man made disasters everywhere. As I feel my Heavenly Father’s spirit, I feel peace. I know that He knows me, as well as everyone, by name. I am a beloved daughter of God. I have come to earth to learn, grow and be tested. I can live my life so that I can be directed by an all knowing, loving, Father. This knowledge amazes me. God loves me so much he will listen to my prayers, my concerns and give me the personal direction I need. I love the peace the spirit of the Lord brings into my life. This joyous knowledge does not shield me from heartache or trials. Remember, I was sent here to be tested, to see how I would react in certain situations. Bad things still happen to me and my loved ones. However, with the help of the Lord, I know that all things are in his hands and that with his strength and peace I can make it through any trial that may come my way. I also know that I will be reunited with my family, those I love and cherish the very most, again in heaven.

How I live my faith

Currently I help organize activities and classes for the women in my neighborhood. We have classes on everything from gardening tips to budgeting. Theses classes provide us with an opportunity to learn something new and to get to know each other better. I have many friends, of many ages, in my neighborhood. I am not alone. I am part of a loving, caring group of women. The activities I organize are usually parties. The women in my neighborhood will all come together, enjoy a great meal and then listen to a speaker, or sometimes we just play games. All of these activities are designed to help build loving, caring relationships with each other. We rejoice together when something wonderful happens and we mourn together when sorrow comes as well. Even though my parents and siblings live hundreds of miles away, I am part of a neighborhood family, and I love it! Each day I pray. What a gift it is to know that God really does care about me personally. God listens to my prayers when I pour out my soul. God then answers my prayers with strong feelings, inspiration, through another’s kindness or while I am reading my scriptures. I read my scriptures and learn from people of the past or I read the Ensign and learn from leaders from my time. I am so thankful for a living Prophet! What a great gift we have been given. We have been blessed with a leader who gives us direction for our day and the problems we face. Praying and reading the scriptures brings me peace and an ability to cope with the challenges I face daily. I am able to share the joy of life with those I teach and live with. I am able to help and serve others. I know it sounds simple, but it works.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Natalee Fehr
My son is on a mission right now. He is serving in Edmonton, Canada! He is having a wonderful experience and meeting so many nice people. Each month I give my church leaders $400. to pay for my sons mission expenses. This money pays for his rent, his utilities, groceries, and whatever else he may need. The cost of serving as a missionary is different for every part of the world. The church took all of the costs added them up and divided them equally. We all pay the same price, $400. a month. If you can not afford that much, members of your family, neighborhood or church unit voluntarily help. Show more Show less
